Our Mission

Our guiding principles are collaboration, empowerment, and sustainability.

We are committed to supporting Ugandans experiencing significant hardship to build healthier, self-sustainable lives. Our diverse range of activities play a crucial role in helping them access the necessary tools and resources to achieve this goal.

Education

We support schools by helping to train teachers and supplying textbooks to those in need. The safety and education of girls and young women is a particular focus for us. We maintain a scholarship program that connects sponsors with students needing assistance in furthering their education. Several students who have participated in this program are now clinicians and administrators in our partner organizations.

Public Health

We work directly with our partners in local communities to promote projects aimed at improving health at the population level. Current and past projects include initiatives for clean water, sanitation, maternal and infant health, and community education.

Collaboration

We work directly with community-led organizations in Uganda to implement initiatives that come from and work within local communities. Our partners include:

The Rural Health Team

RHT is our main partner in Uganda; to learn more about RHT, please see their dedicated page on this site.

Rotary International

We work closely with local and regional Rotary groups to facilitate projects.

Anthill Foundation Uganda

Anthill Foundation Uganda was founded as our main partner in Uganda and has since grown into a fully self-sustaining organization with its own mission and projects. We work closely with AFU on some of these initiatives, and we are proud of the vital work they are doing.

We do not accept donations on behalf of AFU. To support their vital work, please visit their website.
